From the December issue of XXL.....in 2004.

Name: BoyWonder. Though his friend's call him Raymond
Representing: Atlanta, Chicago, Bay Area. Grew up in the Dirty South, started producing beats in Chicago, and later made the move out west. "Which is ironic since I'm an NYC dick-rider," says BoyWonder.
Where you've heard him: Produced tracks for Caushun, Foreign Legion, Pharoahe Monch, oh, and that platinum comeback album of Nas.
Q: How did you get hooked up with Nas?
A: One of his label people kept calling and harassing me. They heard my beats and wanted to pull me onto the new album. I wasn't so sure about working with him -- I'm not his biggest fan or anything.
Q: It wasn't your idea?
A: Naw, man. And Nas wasn't even into me as first. He was like "who's this little white punk?" But then I played a few beats and he seemed fairly impressed.
Q: Do you like album?
A: Yeah, I dig it. It's sometimes a gamble for me to sell my stuff, cause I hate hearing it on the radio later and my beautiful music has been butchered by some wack cats who can't rhyme.
Q: Do you MC?
A: Not as well as most! But I know what's good.
Q: Anyone else come knocking since some of your isht went platinum?
A: Not as many as you'd think. But a few opportunities have come up. I also now have some freedom to work on my own isht. And now I can maybe convince labels to pay to clear samples I've been wanting to use.
Q: What's your favorite album to sample?
A: I won't let you drop a dime on me. But I will say this -- I have love for 80's R&B and soft rock. But only when it's flipped.

A boy can dream. And a boy can be sad when he's writing his own profiles. But let's just call it maintaining a vision. And maybe one day all of you will say "I knew him when". Hell, maybe I'll still have a livejournal.....
