I was sorta late for work because MelRo and I were having such good wonderful and productive chats this morning. But it's Friday, so what the hell -- I'm not supposed to be at work on time.

Last night, I had a dream involving justaboi. And it was so...nice. I can't remember the details of the narrative, only the feelings, which were warm and fuzzy. I think I was really attracted to him and pursuing, but it also had the feel of the beginning of a dating relationship. Like I knew that he liked me, but I was still trying to win him over and feeling very flirty and bashful. I remember something about us planning on going to the beach, but a lot of the dream took place in a department store. JCPenney, to be exact.

That detail will be extra funny to limenal, since we were watching the VH1 countdown on one-hit wonders, and Vicki Sue Robinson busted out with the Penney's jingle in her commentary segment. I was also quoting Professor Frink right before going to bed (Lisa: "A gift certificate to JCPenney?" Frink: "You'll love their slacks."), so apparantly I had childhood malls on the brain or something.

I'm somewhat amused by the response we got for yesterday postings about how we first met. I guess we're not very mushy on your livejournals -- chalk it up to rarely engaging in public shows of affection, I guess. Because we're definitely goofy and scary and gooey and cutesy possibly creepy when it's just the two of us, but we refrain from exposing that to the rest of the world. We're really trying to protect you, dear reader. Because who wants to read that stuff on a daily basis?

I should go find an online Mother's Day postcard to send to my mom.

i see my flirting is paying off.

last week when i went to see spiderman, we went out to one of the big malls, and i saw a JCPenny. i got really excited because, you know, JCPenny! but i don't think the other people in the car really felt the love.

but then again, they didn't grow up in the south and in the burbs of southern cali, where JCPenny used to be king.

that such a warm and fuzzy dream would take place there makes me happy (in some highly bizarre way), even if it wasn't _my_ dream.

i think you were on my mind because yesterday i had coffee with my friend who just visited Minn (the one i posted about doing the S/M workshops) and I talked about tagging along with her the next time she goes, because she DRIVES, which means it would be cheaper since I'd only have to split gas. so i started thinking about the prospect of visiting Minn sometime soon (like in the next month) and hanging out with you and supergoat, of course. oh, and did i mention hanging out with you
