raybear: (cranky)
Last night was another LJ convention, complete with LJ storytelling of events that aren't talked about on LJ. It's like Behind the Music. But trashier. And probably more gossip-y, but I'm going to hell already so it's not like I can go to more hell. Assuming I believed in it, and all.

I tried on my awesome shirt that Alex [livejournal.com profile] genderfucker got for me and I love it. I wanted to wear it today, but will wait until I see him this weekend to show off. fyi, Damon said PNB Nation is like FUBU for DJs. Or something. And from the "psychic files" Alex also got me a happy gay buddha figurine that I will add to my mini-altar containing an elephant from India, my two rock bears (thanks again [livejournal.com profile] wearemany!), and my aloe plant. I need a better stand for my altar, rather than the top of a CD rack.

I don't have much to say. Or nothing I feel compelled to write about. Lots o' thing brewing in my brain, but nothing fully formed enough to put down on paper, so to speak. Athena isn't ready yet, and you can't rush Athena.

But I'm very happy it's already Friday. It will be even more complete if my Presto Multi-Cooker arrives today.
raybear: (...and that's Miss Barbra Streisand)
I just bought that CD. Seriously. And I'm not hyperbolizing either -- apparantly the Brits have been putting out "NOW" CD's for quite some time, and they're up to number 48. Tower put a caseload of CD's on sale for 6 bucks. So I bought several cheesey British-import pop compilations, which will be perfect for my next mixtape, 'The Best(Worst) of The Box'. Oh, how I miss The Box.

I also got a Japanese import version of Guru's Jazzmatazz and an Artiful Dodger CD. All 6 bucks each. I'm totally on the retail therapy high right now. Especially since my Presto cooker was delivered!!! And it's as beautiful as I imagined. Perhaps more so. And I'm all ready to make chili tonight for dinner.

Now, if I could just find some damn articles detailing cultural significance of family names and namings, my afternoon would be nirvana.
