When one doesn't update in several days, and in those days many activites occur, the task of recapping can be daunting. I feel there should be some sort of clarity as to what moments are most important or which ones will stay with me longest, but then other times I think I should write about the insignificant ones precisely because I will be less likely to commit them to crystallized memory.
I've had a great long weekend mini-vacation.
There's still half a strawberry rhubarb pie in the fridge from a suburban adventure on Thursday evening invovling Damon, Elk Grove, Baker's Square, and a Motel 6. Basically we had a spend-the-night party with HBO away from the city and fireworks, bringing Sophie along for good measure. I don't know how Damon feels, but Sophie and I hate fireworks. We hate loud sudden noises. Therefore, I hate fourth of July.
My sheets should be replaced and washed since they've lost their downy dryer sheet smell and instead are filled with various bodily fluids from a Saturday with no obligations except to relax and do what we wanted.
I'm looking forward to several things next week: Hearts game on Tuesday, Teatro Luna performance on Wednesday, and
sean7232's visit. With his visit, I think I have a nice blend of dirty and fun plans without too many high expectations.
The past two mornings I actually slept until approximately 11 am. That's so not like me. Sunday night depression is at-risk for kicking in early -- I can feel it hovering. In part because of interrupted sleep last night from a ghostly visitation -- not to me, but to
dommeyourass. I was busy having dreams involving fun car chases, talking to
mintwaster and
cocolola about the benefits of being an X-Men mutant, and a visit from my former dance aerobics instructor who called me "Raymond" even though I haven't seen her in five years.
Today I'm spending time listing books to sell on Amazon.com, reading, making phone calls, writing, watching Buffy, and learning about what I can do to cleanse and improve my colon health. Exciting, I know.
