I woke up at the usual time of 7:30 am. Got up, did one or two random things, then climbed back into bed around 9 am. I laid there for while, got comfy, then my brain started going on and on about how I should just give up and get up because there's no way I'm going to fall back asleep and it's not.....zzzzzzzzzz. I work up at 11:30 when my cell phone rang. I love mid-morning naps.
This afternoon I went to Cub Foods in search of $0.89 Vitamin!Water but it was $1.29. I'm not sure if I just missed the sale or if I was at the pricey Cub Foods -- which is still way cheaper than other mainstream grocery stores. I spent way more than I planned (let's hear it for the Mastercard....) but I got crazy amounts of food and justify it by calculating that it's still cheaper than eating out for all meals this week plus various snacks. That's what gets me -- not admitting that I will, on numerous occasions, visit a corner store for some beverage and/or an item of junk food. So it's actually much cheaper to just buy that package of cookies at the grocery store. I mean, sure it would be cheapest to not eat it at all, but that's just not going to happen anytime soon.
I had an extremely lazy day, though I can scratch a few things off the to-do list, including: bathing, unloading and then loading the dishwasher, hanging out with
thebrownhornet, the aforementioned trip to the store, and eating massive amounts of nacho dip. Okay, maybe the last item wasn't on the list, but it got done anyway. I also made one mix CD this afternoon and now I'm going to complete a two-disc hip-hop mix for
drinkasyoupour. And if I finish that quickly enough, I'll have a mini-Buffy marathon before going to pick up
dommeyourass at her volunteer gig.
This is the kind of Saturday I can get behind.
