I'm home from Minneapolis. I nearly missed my flight on Friday and had to do the stressful wait through security than jog through the terminal. Today I arrived super early to the airport, so much so that I was able to get standby on the earlier flight, which ended up in me getting nervous while waiting in a long security line and jogging through the terminal to catch the plane. So even when I'm early, I'm late. Or it feels that way.

The shows at IDKE rocked and I'm so glad I made the trip up to see them. Chicago Kings were phenomenonal, as usual. So maybe people congratulated me on their performance, solely by proxy. I accepted and passed it along to them, since they might not believe my opinion to be terribly objective.

I had dinner with the lovely [livejournal.com profile] redrider and another C-bus King at this crazy downtown Olive Garden. Well, the restaurant was typical enough, it was really the waiter who was out of control. He'll get his own essay late.

I got to see [livejournal.com profile] herownsociety! I hope Austin appreciates her as much as they should.

[livejournal.com profile] brothernumber3 is the best not-so-secret pretend boyfriend ever. He was super hospitable and generous, plus he was just fun to hang out with. In addition to being scorchingly hot. Rawr. Except when he was evil for taking me to great used bookstores and record shops. Because, you know, I don't have enough CD's or books.

I tried unsuccessfully to take a nap with [livejournal.com profile] sopherson. I will now unpack some and watch a movie on the couch until it's time to go pick up [livejournal.com profile] dommeyourass.

And a big public thank-you, thank-you, thank-you to [livejournal.com profile] lakenaiad for taking care of The Sophie while I was gone, in addition to others who helped her out.
