Jesus Christ, it's only noon?!?! I feel like I've lived through a whole week already.
I was not very happy to wake up this morning, I was sleeping so deeply. Yet I still managed to make it out of the house around my usual time. Lately I've been walking to the train station in the morning instead of waiting for the bus and I think the fifteen minutes of moderate exertion have been beneficial to my temperament.
Lots of random up and down at work, lots of random up and down in personal life. This morning has been busy, but I'm staying afloat. Breadloaf called me with a job tip that I have this strong feeling will either not work out at all or will possibly trigger a huge landslide. All or nothing. Though probably the former. We'll see.
Last night I headed up to Andersonville early to get some reading done in a change of scenary and also because I couldn't get writing done at home since the keyboard did not survive the water damage. I was planning on Cafe Boost which I prefer, but walked into Kopi anyway and there at a table alone was my good friend, Kraftwerk Librarian, so I had a wonderful spontaneous quick dinner with him -- we hadn't seen each other since before xmas. He left for the gym, and I started strolling to T's when I ran into
loosethread and CurbHerEnthusiasm. After a few minutes of chatting on the sidewalk and despite my only half-hearted efforts to win them over, they agreed to attend bingo night with me. The evening was fairly mellow, except for when I finally got to yell out "BINGO MTHERFCKER!" I had some good interactions and laughs with a select few, rather than engaging in fifty shallow two-minute conversations with everyone and their mother.
Tonight I have a date and tomorrow I'm going to see a psychic for the first time. Which reminds me, I need to go work on my 10 questions.
