raybear: (mr. lunch)
This weekend was utterly fabulous. After a fuck-up at work on Friday afternoon that happened right at 3:30, it only went up.

I'm still not sure what to write about Kingdom Come. Except for copious amounts of thank-you's to everyone out in the audience who screamed and cheered and clapped and so generously tried to tip me but I was so absorbed in my choreography that I couldn't properly accept the dollar-bill-love. CeCe Wonder feels more comfortable on stage performing than she did at a party, so I'm sure she'll pop up again in the not-so-distant future. And I had such a blast performing in the Toxic number.

Saturday we ran some errands than had lunch with Mintwaster and Cocolola and ran more errands than came home and napped hard. DYA woke up to go to her volunteer gig and I stayed home to work on writing. She came home and said, "we can unload the cardboard boxes from the car in the rain, or.....I can give you a massage." Guess what I picked? It was quite luxurious and it's funny how hard it still is for me to sit back and let someone pay attention and do nice things for me.

On Sunday we got up and went to temple for meditation then came home and finally started some packing. I watched the movie "School of Rock" while eating cookies and packing up the den. I did some reading. We drove down to Texas Ballroom to see Louche's pictures and the rest of the art show which was great. We came back and ate dinner while watching "The Sweet Hereafter". Then went to bed. The whole day of Sunday I never typed a word but I was constantly re-writing one of my stories in my head.

Now it's Monday morning and I somehow managed to write the shortest journal entry about one of the best weekends. I've had lots of great weekends lately.

This morning I ran into someone on the train, and normally I'm in such a sleepy introverted zone on my morning commute that the thought of making conversation freaks me out. But when it surprises me, as most spontaneous run-in's do, I feel energized afterwards by the unexpected moment.

Except I can't remember a damn thing I said.

This is a big stress week. Second interview tomorrow. Writing packet due (but I think I'll just mail it Wedneday morning instead of Tuesday afternoon). Packing my entire house in time for movers on Friday. Calling all the various places I need to change my address, as well as various appointments to cancel, reschedule, and schedule.

Let's end with some predictions of the week ahead:
