You are now free to move about the cabin.

I'm excited to announce many things:

1. I'm back in Chicago.
2. I'm writing this entry in my kitchen from a laptop with wireless internet. I feel so geeky. The laptop is courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] trooper6(the check is in the mail. No, seriously, it is.) and the wireless internet is courtesy of $15 of equipment from the computer store and 90 minutes of my life. It seems like a fair trade.

I got in last night and [livejournal.com profile] dommeyourass picked me up from the airport. We went home and nearly went straight to bed, but then I had a hard time falling asleep. I seemed to be floating between worlds, time zones, cities. I wandered around the apartment for awhile, going back to bed around 1am. We woke up at 5:30 am for some loving, then fell back asleep until nearly noon. After a late breakfast, we made a spontaneous run off to a matinee of Farhenheit 9/11, then to the ER for a quick trip, then home for wrestling with computers old and new. Now I'm about to walk the Sophie and maybe visit with some random people in my house for a rehearsal.

Tomorrow is my first day of my new work. I think I need a to-do list to keep me on task.

P.S. I'm desperately behind on my friends page but since I know I probably won't go back to comment, thanks to those folks who wished me a happy birthday. And happy bday to my fellow Cancers, [livejournal.com profile] kisha and [livejournal.com profile] vfc and [livejournal.com profile] watrfae.
