Get a bucket o' lovin'.
Dec. 18th, 2004 01:16 amOne more day of the residency. I'm starting to get a little ragged, and yet, still enjoying myself and a little scared about fully addressing what's going on in my 'regular' life away from this bubble. But I'll figure it out.
I'm already a planning a trip back to L.A. in two months, probably to stay for nearly a week, to actually do cheesy touristy things in the city, as well as go out and have fun with everyone in the area I haven't been able to see. It's hard to be active at night after a day of classes. Yesterday though, MFA-Husband and I came home in the afternoon to take a nap, then we went to see a movie (Bad Education, full review forthcoming).
After this residency, I've also acquired an MFA-Wife, MFA-Mistress, and MFA-Sister. As well as a new mentor, a potential mentor, and a previous mentor who's now a MFA-Neighbor and drinking buddy. In other words, a whole writing SoCal family. No matter how cheesy it sounds when I write about it, it's still kind of touching. And as happy and exciting I am to go home, it's going to hard to leave me second honorary home.
