I had breakfast with [livejournal.com profile] thebrownhornet this morning and there's nothing like giving a re-cap of your life to make one realize how busy it is. But good busy, I guess. I mean, I know. It's just busy get tedious sometimes. I want to sit on the couch in the sun for hours on end, alternating between reading and napping. Then wake up and ride my bike wherever I want, maybe for ice cream.

Instead I'm working on a grant proposal, then leaving soon to help set up for the Raw Works reception this evening, then finishing the grant proposal. Yesterday I spent all day either working on the grant or laying out and designing the zine and getting it copied. Tomorrow I want to do nothing. NOTHING. Except maybe read and write letters and watch movies. Of course I should be doing some research copying so I don't save it all for next week, but whatever. I don't mind too much that life has been crazy the past few weeks, because this summer I get a nice break. I won't be teaching, so I'll essentially be working only 20 hours a month and the rest of the time will be spent on writing and school.

I was going to write all about puppets. About how we watched Team America World Police last week and I was disappointed. Not because it was offensive or satiric or whatever. But because it was just boring. For the first 30 minutes we laughed so much, but then around the 40 minute mark it slowed down and we realized these was still a whole hour to go. I watched several scenes on fast forward. Then last night we went and saw "The Cabinet", the latest Redmoon show, which was also puppets and not funny, though it wasn't supposed to be. It was, however, eerie and fascinating and creepy and beautiful.

My brain is fried and I have to leave soon.
