Two night in a row we have been up until about 3 am, watching 4 episodes of LOST in a row (luckily there's only 4 per disc). Last night I didn't quite make it, I started to get really sleepy during the 3rd episode, and halfway through the 4th I just closed my eyes for a second and then opened them when the credits started. I stumbled to bed and fell asleep almost immediately.
The show is scary and fun and invigorating and it's funny how in the beginning I loved the flashback sequences where we learned about the characters, but now I sometimes find them tedious because who cares about your daddy issues or realizing that french words on a map are song lyrics, Claire is still abducted and lost in the woods and why isn't anyone doing anything about this?!?! Anyone?? Anyone?? (She's out now, we kept watching episodes until she was back.) For the most part, I'm always suprised about all the little plot revelations and character changes, but DYA and I still have a pool going about who's going to die by the end of the season. She almost won, but it turned out to be a hallucination so we might have to reshuffle the Vegas odds.
Oh, and I keep forgetting to post this, but my favorite line from the show doesn't come from character but from DYA in an excited discussion about a mystery and she said, "if I was a magical jungle, that's what I would do."
I didn't mean to spend this 10 minutes writing about a tv show. Now I gotta run to teach. BUT....if you live in Chicago and are free tonight, come to Sidekicks on Montrose anytime after 9 pm to sing karaoke with me and a few other livejournalers.
