It's a city of strangers.
Dec. 26th, 2005 03:56 pmHappy day after christmas. If you celebrate that sort of thing.
There have been several nights this past week where something happens in my first dream of the evening, and then I spend the rest of the night telling people in other dreams about the first dream. Except I wake up and can't really remember any of it. Though last night I had started a new job and someone told me that they "truly fancied" me, and they meant it in a sort of "I adore you" way and I found it quite flattering and charming.
I spent most of yesterday somewhat dreading the call from my parents and it never came and today I'm feeling disappointed at their silence, interpreting it as neglect. Family is funny that way.
The weekend has involved eating lots of ham. And watching a huge stack of DVDs. I think my favorite out of all of them was Rize, even with its imperfections. My second favorite was Happy Endings, even though DYA was not as into it.
Tonight I sing karaoke and this week will be lots of cleaning and organizing and general attempts to "start the new year off right". If you celebrate that sort of thing. Which I do.
But first, tea and cookies.
