Last night's lineup was a lot of favorites and near-standards for me.

**: trio with my new karaoke boyfriends, Lafayette and Cappuccino
Seriously, Cappuccino came up to me after one song and said I was totally as good as the guy from Linkin Park and I need to listen to this one album and learn it for karaoke and complimented my singing. I hate Linkin Park, but I didn't say that, because I have manners. I didn't talk to Lafayette much except to exchange a few handshakes at the end of powerful performances, which of course, we were both giving because we're karoake superstars. But just before midnight, we were getting ready to go, and he came up to me and said, "no, Ray, do you have to leave? Because we're about to do a song that I really wanted you to hear." I'm not made of stone, people. We stayed. There were a few songs ahead of them, and then they sang...oh damn, it wasn't "The Closer I Get To You", which they did earlier in the evening....I can't remember. Was it a Stylistics song? Damn. Ok, so anyway, than Lafayette was going to do "suicide karaoke" and Cappuccino had picked The Village People's In the Navy and he was mad and refused, in this way that made me think Cap was trying to be funny about Lafeyette being gay but he didn't find it so amusing, but I'm totally extrapolating here. So I said, do a song with me! As a duet! I have one! So I bugged the KJ and he put on Stevie Wonder for us and we all got on stage.
And theniamthesphix was kind enough to drive us home. Oh! And broqued and foxycoxy came by and I was pleased to hear them both sing, including Broqued losing her karaoke virginity.
I really need a karaoke icon.
