Even Oedipus didn't see his mother coming.

Given the recent topic on the absence of bad movies, it seemed appropriate to watch Basic Instinct 2 with thebrownhornet and Miss Rook and her partner last night. Unfortunately, the movie wasn't quite bad enough. It was just slow and repetitive. Halfway through, we started fast-forwarding through every scene that Sharon Stone wasn't in, which was several. Once she would show up again, the entertainment factor would increase tenfold. That woman is weird.

The opening scene is pretty stellar though, so if you ever happen upon someone watching it, just stay through the first 5 minutes (essentially the credits sequence).
