There's a chance we could make it now

Sometimes I create imaginary mottos for the day, well, I suppose they aren't so much imaginary as nonsensical, and these phrases or sentences just pop in my head and I recite them several times a day in certain situations and never share them because, as mentioned, they are nonsensical, and today's motto is "y'all mtherfkcers need to tuck your shirt in." It has nothing to do with fashion. It actually has to do with people talking tediously about their life. Or maybe it's not the talk that's tedious, it's their life. I am crabby and mean today, except I'm not in a dark cloud bad mood and I don't actually hate anyone, but crabby and mean thoughts keep coming up in my head, it's really just my immediate surroundings of this office and this work and that's because I'm upset that my job situation is all fcked right now. It's not really these people's fault at all that it happened, they just are lucky enough to see my face for forty hours a week in the meantime.

I ate spinach last night and I feel GREAT. Take that, e.coli. The spinach came from our organic food co-op which is grown locally. I will confess that I used the microwave technique of steaming it though, just in case. It's hard not to get sucked into the culture of fear. I mean, they perform this massive recall but they don't actually know where it came from or how it got there yet. That's helpful. I'm mostly just mad because I like spinach a lot, and its also rare for that to be in the category of 'healthy'. At least I still have my glorious chard.

This morning on the train I listened to the podcast of Wait Wait Don't Tell Me and they had a question about Ann Richards's death and then they played a snippet from when she was on the show a few years ago, and she signed off by saying, "I haven't had that much fun since pigs ate my brother!" I guess I'm not the only one who comes up with nonsense sayings.
