How's Mavis doing this evening?

raybearI'm waiting for Da Man to show up so we can go to CompUSA and buy a copy of Mavis Beacon for our friend who can't type. Her birthday is tomorrow. We worried it might come across as rude, but it's sincerely out of love -- I think the lack of typing skills causes her a lot of stress at work and regarding her school work. I'm a sloppy typer who looks at the keyboard more than I should, but I'm still around 80-90% accuracy and about 70 words per minute. I can't imagine still hunting and pecking.
I learned to type through a tutorial called TYPE! (capital letters and exclamation included in the trademakr) There was a typing exercise involving two stick figures running a hurdle race -- I had to type quickly to keep up and win the race. I played that game a lot.
But supposedly this Mavis is good people too. I've heard nothing but dozens of cultural references to her.
