Such a long period of time has elapsed since my last entry. I'm tempted to write a narrative completely unrelated, but instead will share random snippets that come to mind when I think oh so fondly of "this past weekend":

On Sunday morning I went to the paint store to purchase duct tape to fix a broken futon frame. When I walked up to the counter to pay, the man asked, "oh! are you a drummer?" What? I mean, I know how drummer's use duct tape, but it's a strange out-of-the-blue question.

On Saturday afternoon after purchasing Taco's "Puttin on the Ritz" on vinyl, Damon and I were yelled at by a woman at the bus stop wearing a red playboy bunny visor. Well, it wasn't a stranger -- it was the illustrious [livejournal.com profile] vfc, on her way to watching Trading Spaces.

Later we played Trivia Pursuit, where [livejournal.com profile] nineinchlovely and I had a beautiful come from behind win which I attributed to his answering a sports question with "Lawrence Taylor". I nearly cried from the beauty of the moment.

Yesterday we were forced to clean house for visitors, which is fine because now we have a clean house. And a less broken futon.

Last night MelRo finally saw "Waking Life". I loved it for a third time. And now I must find a documentary that focuses on one of the characters featured. The DVD also contained scenes of the live-action tape which just aren't as exciting when not animated.

Shana called at midnight but I didn't know better. All I have to say is "John Stamos's nipple".

And that pretty much bring us current. Coming soon (after this evening): A review of Mariah Carey's [insert proper accent marks] piece de resistance Glitter.
