raybear: (...and that's Miss Barbra Streisand)

I don't know why I keep adding new and interesting people to my friends list when I'm actually doing work these days, which impedes my ability to properly attend to livejournal. Maybe because over half of my friends list doesn't even update once a day. I'm looking for more juice. And possibly more of an audience, if I'm not properly kidding myself.

Right now my boy is interviewing Fat Joe. Seriously. He's gonna make it after all, like Mary Tyler Moore if he's not careful. He already interviewed Twista, but you know, most people are like "who's Twista?" I'm sure there are also people going "Who's Fat Joe?" but not as many.

Amazing how quickly the day goes when I'm actually doing work. Perhaps more amazing is that I'm actually doing work. I mean, like, in a row, and shit. Not just 15 minutes there, 10 minutes here. We're talking several hours in a row virtually nonstop.

In Other NewsTM, I will be attending a screening of The Rules of Attraction with [livejournal.com profile] vfc this evening, right after work. I heard it sort of sucks, but that's mostly the early press I don't follow as much. Stupidly enough, I tend to have fairly close alignment with Roger Ebert, though I don't know what he thinks yet. I guess I'll read it tomorrow and find out if we agree.

1. Damon is The Man.
2. I know who Fat Joe is!! too bad he can't keep up with his own music when he's performing live...
3. Working is crazy. I feel you, man.
4. Did I ever tell you that Ruthie dated Ebert? twice. once before and once after her first marriage to a guy named Fred.
5. Ruthie also worked at a restaurant/bar that some guy from the Monkees went into and she had to card him because he looked so young and she didnt even realize who it was until after she saw his ID. then she had to keep the spectators away.

1. Unfortunately, the Fat Joe interview fell through! But they're supposed to call him back in a few weeks and do it again, like Jay-Z. Woo-hoo.
2. I love Fat Joe now because of an MTV2 commerical. How lame is that?
3. I think of Ruthis every time I think of Ebert! I thought of her this week when there was a pic in the Sun-Times of him and his wife. I thought, that could have been Myles's mom!

I used lots of exclamation points in this comment.

xoxoxo.
