How do you want it? How do you need it?
Nov. 11th, 2002 10:07 amMy weekend slipped through my fingers and I blame the weather and the time change. On Saturday I laid around and did very little in the morning then got up to shower and go to the grocery store. Turns out it was already 1:30. By the time we got to Cub Foods (my new favorite grocery establishment) and overloaded our cart and stepped outside to find the car, it was twilight. So much for Saturday. We went home and unloaded food and cleaned the kitchen and made dinner and suddenly it's 7 pm. Lauren stopped by and we chatted and then spontaneously went across the street to rent Scotland, PA. Um, see this movie. Soon. Especially if you love Christopher Walken. But even if you don't. I'm sad I didn't have time to watch it a second time with director's commentary.
Yesterday was.....I don't remember. Oh yeah, taking Sophie to the dog park since she was in dire need of some exercise and social interactions. Came home and did something. Left the house and did something. Came home and it was dinner time. Wrote a couple thousand words and next thing I knew it was bedtime.
I was sort of thinking I could have 25,000 words at the end of the weekend, but instead I did no writing on Saturday. The good news is I got over my little plot obstacle and now I'm well on my way to actually having things happen. And I'm still ahead of the daily word count. And sadly enough I sit and think about my characters in my daydreams. I should have started writing fiction long ago -- it goes well with my obsessive personality.
