Tonight I stuck around the office then met Roberto at Mitchell's family restaurant and saw Barbershop at the Village. I had a lot of fun, and it's a good movie. Sometimes I love feel-good somewhat wholesome movies, they just have to have something compelling. And this one was funny, had lots of sexy people, and I genuinely liked the characters.

Tomorrow I begin an experiment. I've been struggling with being more productive at work and staying focused, so I've decided I'm going to dress up for work more. I know this sounds a little ridiculous, but I'm trying to change my mindset and be more responsible, so somehow, dressing like an adult might help me. I mean, not that only adults wear ties or whatever. I'm just playing into the cultural conditioning that already exists in my brain. Today I was rocking "Three o'clock Catholic school Boy". I had on dark grey flat front 'khakis' with my black shoes, a button down light blue shirt with navy pinstripes, and a light grey v-neck sweater that said "Immaculate Conception High School." Seriously. [livejournal.com profile] glitterdyke was there when I bought it. The top button of my shirt was undone revealing my white undershirt and both shirt-tails were hanging out just a little from the bottom of the sweater. I looked like I just broke free from campus and was on my way to trouble.

Tomorrow I wear my three dollar Ralph Lauren dress slacks and a dress shirt and a sweater. No tie though -- that's too much. I need new black shoes. Mine are looking rather world-weary.

We'll see how long this Grand Experiment will last. And I really am going to up my work completed. Which doesn't mean I'll completely stop e-mail and livejournal -- it just means less floating around the internet aimlessly and wasting time and causing eyestrain and headaches and listlessness. I hope I remeber all this tomorrow. That's why I'm writing it down.
