That's great - as a kid, I once got a magic kit. I still have a box and a big die, in which have my mark place the die in the box, and then I use my telepathic powers to determine the number on the die facing up. No one ever guessed it...and like you, I always revealed the secret.
I gotta start taking that to college parties. It would be GREAT when people are drunk!
