Ripped from the womb
May. 27th, 2003 10:20 amAnd.....we're back. Last night around 8 pm we stumbled into my apartment to the excited waggings of Sophie and the shining faces of Riley and Kathy, all a sight for sore eyes after more than twelve hours on the road. Shortly after they left I was able to enjoy some of the simple pleasure denied to me in the past ten days (e.g. sitting on the couch without a shirt).
Overall I would deem the road trip a success, though it's been a bumpy ride so far today trying to re-enter life. Of course, my mild depression and feeling of deer caught in the headlights is NOTHING compared to
dommeyourass's morning so far, but I'll leave that for her journal.
For the first time since being away from livejournal for a long period I actually did something crazy which was write in a paper journal. It was quasi-successful, though I wish I had started earlier in the week rather than the last weekend. I'd like to think I'll transcribe some of it here, but I'll probably just write new stuff.
More to come, of course. But just wanted to say hi.
