[livejournal.com profile] kaileo got every single question correct. He obviously cheated. Bunches of you got 4 out of 5 correct -- too many for me to list individually but congratulations anyway. Your certificate of achievement is in the mail.

Well, I didn't know anything but 'Mandy' [shush] so I didn't participate but I enjoyed reading it a lot so please do it again. =)
And my question for The Troll From Dallas, 'What exactly is wrong with displaying one's own knowledge and knack for recall?' Twerp.

I didn't participate because I didn't recognize any - but I know the song you're quoting today!

David Bowie and NIN "I'm Afraid of Americans"!

Sorry, just had to get that out there.

I am happy that you like that song - or it's in your head. A good one for Mondays...

i love this song right now!!!

sparky, i don't care if you take the quiz or whether you know the song lyrics. not everyone has the bizzare rarely-useful gift for random trivia that i have.

Well, the name of the Costa song was in the lyric, which I'm sure is why it got the most votes. Everyone thought you would throw a freebie in there.

But luckily, some people do. Heh. Although I'd trade mine in for a useful skill that would get me a job right about now. I never see any ads for "office trivia geek."

Somewhat related, I use song lyrics for about 90 percent of my subject headings and I'm certain that only the most ubiquitous lyrics get recognized. So why am I doing it? Why?

I do too. I mostly do it for myself, because I'm greatly entertained to go back and look at subject lines which can sometimes reveal my state of mind more than the post. It's almost like a footnote to my future self.

Or maybe it's just more fun that putting it in "current music".

Frighteningly enough, I did not cheat. :-)

I know! I figured I can't be the only bizarre eclectic music geek in the world. I need a twin, or at least a doppelganger. ;)

more often than not, the song/songs i have stuck in my head give me a really good glimpse of how i'm feeling and what i'm thinking (since both can be elusive to me). there have been times when i was in denial about being done with a relationship and i found myself singing a break-up song like 'it's over' or something like that... that one made me stop and think holy isht!
