To my dismay it left without a trace

Man, I had the mother of all journal entries about 2 hours ago that included Chicago re-entry freakout, career/artist existential crisis, a voicemail from my father, exhaustion from 15 hours of driving and coming home to my home/personal space being a disheveled unfamiliar wreck from our teenage dogsitters. But after a brief moment of sobbing, some quick straightening up by Lowenstein and I, snuggling with the dog, cutting my hair, showering, burning a million sticks of incense, and having a whole two hours of solitary silence, I feel much better.

I'm also enjoying a rare beer, toasting a welcome home to me. It's great to be here. More later.
