Last night changed it all.

I really shouldn't be here -- my to-do list is ridiculous, but I needed to mark a couple things.

1) I love my best friend. He told me to reserve last night for an early birthday suprise. He came by the office and we drank the scotch from my desk then we went to dinner at the Berghoff and told each super-long detailed stories because that's what we do and then we went to the House of Blues to see a concert. But not just any damn concert. Fcking Ghostface Killah. GHOSTFACE KILLAH! I can't go into the levels and ways this is perfect for us. We've never seen him live. I can now cross that off my Things To Do Before I Die list. Even if he didn't perform Dayton or Maxine and he wasn't wearing the eagle on his arm. GHOSTFACE!!!

2) I love my girlfriend. I don't really have a paragaph about this one, but just needed to declare it outloud.

3) Today is the last day before the first day of the rest of my life. It's my last day at work. LAST DAY AT WORK!!!

I think my large coffee finally kicked in.

I'm glad you had a great time last night! I did too, and I'm thankful that I was able to share my first Ghostface experience with the only other person I know who would appreciate it as much as myself. A better way to celebrate your new life chapter than to party with the Wallabee champ? I don't think so.

Also, as you pack up your stuff and get out of Dodge today, don't forget to pat yourself on the back for all the good work you've done there. It's easy to forget that when you're focused on the future.
