I know I joke around a lot about very serious/important things, but I hope you realize that I really am sincerely empathetic. No really. I was cured with this annoying defense mechanism of making jokes all the damn time and although I try to only use that power for good, not evil, I sometimes slip and end up sounding cold, insensitive or insincere.
I just wanted you to know that I'm totally here for you and that I know how ya feel (or at least I do) If you ever need/want to drop me a line, feel free and we can talk.
