Bush nominates Miers for Supreme court

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhh.

She's never been a judge, people. Roberts gets the top spot on "the highest court of the land" after being a judge for what, 4 years? And Miers gets the other slot after having never had to decide a case in her life.

I'm starting to believe that talk about how the neo-cons are arranging the government in such a way to completely demolish and tear it down. A fcking fcked up revolution from the inside-out. They fcking stole the anarchists' ideas, but just put them in corporate form.

I had dreams last night where I was constantly pulling leeches off my body. It was pretty gross and disturbing. And prophetic.

I think because Bush had so few years being a functional adult before he got this 'job' he has no sense of appropriatness.

i had no idea one could jump from being an attorney to getting nominated for a seat with the Supreme Court.

that's a wee bit scary.

I dreamt (possibly due to my NPR alarm) that Bush nominated someone who hadn't even gone to law school.

what i find disturbing was this:
"The thing that comes to mind when I think of Harriet is that she basically puts her clients' interests ahead of everything, including her own personal life, sleeping hours and all those things," said Jerry Clements, a partner at Locke Liddell & Sapp, the 400-lawyer Texas firm where Miers was a co-managing partner before coming to Washington. "She is defined by hard work, dedication and client loyalty." (washington post profile)

client loyalty. another bush loyalist. and no matter what her personal values are, whether or not she's presided over a case, we all know what that means.

Hey... I'm about to get my undergrad degree... does this mean I could be Supreme Court Justice in just a few months?

(Okay, well maybe when the Democrats get the office again). I mean, come on, some of those justices are looking a little old... and since when do you have to know anything about "judging" or, like, whatever, and stuff. I could TOTALLY run the Supreme Court!!! If ever I'm in doubt, I could just turn to Cosmo for advice.

*bashes self over the head repeatedly*

in all seriousness, i really do believe that the neo-con goal for social services is to entirely eliminate them, and that the justice department is not far behind. i hate that i think that and can name a dozen examples off the top of my head, but this is what i've seen first-hand and everything like this only reaffirms it for me.

remember when conspiracy theories were funny? and sexy?
