I knew I was tired/distracted/slightly manic/brain-splattered, but it didn't totally hit me until I finished packing my bag, grabbed my jacket, started to slide it on my arm and.....realized I wasn't wearing a shirt.

i had a similar experience a few years ago. it was an early sunday morning, and i was preparing to leave for work. grabbed my bay, my keys and rushed out the door. thank god it was a windy day, because i caught a breeze below my waist, looked down and realized i had remembered to put on the stockings, but NOT THE SKIRT.

thank god it was windy, and too early for any of the neighbors to be peering out their windows. i felt like a complete ass.

I used to forget to take my socks off (and sometimes my underwear) before getting in the tub or shower when I was younger. Kinda the opposite of your mishap.

I feel like as long as you get the shirt on before you leave the house, you're having an ok day. It's when you forget the pants that you need to reevaluate if you really should have left the house.

I so totally have done that. I like to think that sometimes it's nature/Gods/etc.etc.'s way of saying "Woohoo. Gotta love those 10 G's you spent on this chest here.."
