You should know better.

Am I the only one in my world who watches The View? There is always so much to process, but especially today's show. It has all the things in pop culture that absolute fascinate me, related to daytime television's narratives that reflect "mainstream America". Seriously, it's more revealing than all the pundits on MSNBC combined.

I only watch the first 20 minutes until the celebrity guests arrive.

They really should change the name of it to "The Spew!"

My verbose analysis of the show, via my imdb.com comment.

So what was so special about today's events? I imagine they talked about Michael Richards, right?

ha -- you're assessment of it's "golden era" is the time i never ever watched because it was boring.

today they talked about michael richards, they talked about praying for oj simpson and whether hell exists, and then rosie accused kelly of regis & kelly of a homophobic act and kelly ripa CALLED IN and they fought live on the air.

it was brilliant.

Maybe it's the fact that the concept of the show was faulty. Really, the point of having all those hosts was that they were going to have people from each decade to offer up opinion, to give their "View." Otherwise, two or three hosts would be plenty for this program.

Praying for OJ. This to help him since his special got canned! But no... I heard Juice got a $3.5M advance, so he got his payday anyhow! No prayers necessary!

That does sound lively. Rosie is the best (worst?) example of a [livejournal.com profile] spaceagers celebrity. She's just wound up so tightly, let her go and she'll spin out of control.
