raybearIn 1969, on this day, Apollo 11 landed on the moon. You know, if you believe in that sort of thing. I sort of miss conspiracy theories. Now I just have so much general disbelief about anything in the media being forthright and accurate, the fun has been taken away.
On Friday night I went and had a couple drinks and then walked back to someone's apartment and [CENSORED] and got home late. Okay, okay, who am I kidding with my pretending not to overshare? CENSORED = naked making out with a great kisser. On Saturday, DYA and I went to see a matinee of Ocean's Thirteen, which was highly satisfying. Then we went to a children's birthday party where we hung out with all of the adults (though I didn't actually go to the official Adult Room), and then later that night I was back at Sidekicks. I have been there so many times recently that Taz the karaoke host invited me to a bbq at his house next weekend. I am contemplating going.
Last night I had the house to myself and I was originally planning to sit around and read, but instead after running errands, I gave into the temptation of the RedBox outside the grocery store near my house where you can rent movies for $1 and no membership is required and this giant red DVD dispensing machine spits it out at you. It's great! Well, I mean, it's great for renting some bottom barrel mainstream new release quasi-fluff, which is exactly what I wanted. I got Black Snake Moan. I'm not really sure I can do justice as to how outrageous and fascinating this movie was (and that isn't a recommendation, so don't blame me if you decide to watch it). I think I prefer to rant about this movie in person. Just like I haven't written out the story of my day in wine country and tasting the balsamic vinegar and getting the backroom tasting special treatment. I guess I have to save some life material for anecdotes at parties.
