I know I shouldn't be posting, but I have a song stuck in my head really badly, and I was going to post the lyrics, but I already have, so I'll try not to be TOO repetitive and just post the link to my own gddamn journal so if you're really interested in being inside my head, you can read the lyrics AGAIN. yee-haw.

It seems obvious to me, but then again.....

I love Aimee Mann. Two degrees of separation for you...I knew her when I was in fifth grade. There, doesn't that just make your day?

yes, it does.

greetings from the further hinterlands of the exotic midwest. It's about quittin' time up here from the lofty reaches of the 22nd floor of the IDS building in Downtown Mnpls...I was persuing the bear sites, as I usuallly does roun' this time...whens I comes accross this profile see?, an I kinda like your tastes and your smart aleck cum lately'ness...thoughts I'd drop a line and says "HI!"

I'm making my first pilgrimage to your fair hamlet in a few weeks and then on to St. Louis for HIBERNATION. (Actually, in truth, I was there once before in 95 or 96 for Love Revolution, but that was way out in the sticks--I remeber it was during Halstead days and we were driving right down it and no one would let me out of the car and I was really pissed because to giant bear man came up to the window and said "WOOF...you come with us." (sigh...paradise lost...base bin regained...tough call though)

...needless to say, I've yet to be a bear in the big city, the only night club I got to experience was Red Dog, and I have no idea who's even resident there these days, if it indeed still even exists....I noticed your dj affinities and live for good house, several of my friends are dj transplants and commuters from here in the twin cities, and spin out quite a bit down there, AND I have been a Derick Carter deciple since a party up here I think it was called "Joy" in like 91?...fuck that was so many years, cells and journeys ago..I can't even be sure, hell I can't even be sure I'm really typing or just thinking about sending you a note...I guess if I hear back I'll have an answer to that...but in the mean time...

peace love and a vintage copy sitll in the shrink wrap of Lil'Louis'
"French Kiss")

Llllllater..

thank you, kind sir. it's indeed a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

i must confess i'm sorely remiss in my knowledge of chicago bear culture (and i don't mean the football team, though i'm not terribly up on them either), partly because I'm just a baby bear who's rather intimidated. i also rarely find younger bears, so i end up looking towards the non-skinny record-store boys who don't shave as often....plus, there's the whole trans thing....

but anyway, are passing through the city for a brief layover? what are you to in St. Louis? hibernating sounds nice, indeed.
