two separate things
Oct. 19th, 2001 04:18 pm1. I wish it was possible to speak with footnotes. Though maybe I should just reduce the number of references.
2. Just got talked to by my boss. Wasn't very happy with the most recent brief and my (lack of?) work on the matter. Ugh. But the meeting itself wasn't horrible, I guess. All things considered. Some of the mistakes were obviously mine, but some of the matters I feel weren't. Ugh again. She mentioned me not doing full cite checks on the brief and seeing if they're good law. Um, hi, I was never taught that. She also mentioned that the table of authorities was messed up. But I didn't give it to her as a final product -- I gave it as a draft because I had to leave and work the event last Friday. Ugh, ugh, ugh.
I'm thinking about putting in a little overtime in the next week or two to get completely caught up on all the random piles of papers on my desk, plus getting everything I do completely reorganized. I'm also thinking about compiling a manual which would help myself be more organized as well as prepare for my eventual departure.
I guess it's better to hear this now so I can get things reshuffled and have things running perfectly by the time my review comes around in December.
