So I made a big purchase. And bought a domain name. Now I will continute shopping for webhosting services. I'm mostly leaning towards fish's suggestion, though I'm also looking at a couple others. If you have any good or bad experiences, please share if you wouldn't mind.

In the meantime, I can throw up a "business card" site, so I'm scanning a photo and will add some text. Then maybe tomorrow I'll take my O'Reilly books on web design, html and javascript down to an internet cafe and build something. Yes, I will build something. Though I don't know if he will come. I won't be sharing the address with folks yet since there's nothing there. But don't worry your pretty little heads. Soon it will have an online resume of sorts for my DJing, production and sound engineering experience as well as future plans. Also info on mixtapes and mixtape ordering. And eventually, the inventory of my music collection.

Work stayed busy all day and I'm quite happy to be home. I even ate a Friday night-type dinner of cheesesteaks. MelRo is anxiously awaiting the long-skate program, so I'm taking advantage of this TV-watching to manipulate her laptop.

I may work on a mixtape too. Or study while the iceskaters duke it out. I want to have a drink, but I fear that will lower my productivity and just make me want to sleep. MelRo just informed me that she doesn't need a drink to lower her productivity and want to sleep. I told her it's because she's depressed. Excuse me, I have to go nowwwww....

My package buddy and I send one another a box of goodies around the size of a shoebox every month. Candles, Candy, the most obscure toys you can think of... this is the kind of things we send. Lisa claims she will send her package buddy liquor, however, it's really pretty much open as far as what Liz and I send one another. This month, I sent her $25 worth of chocolate, and cheesy clearance valentines junk, like a "Lover Boy" bear and a floating heart candle that sits in a martini glass. She sent me a couple relaxation cds, incense, candles, temporary tattoos, a new ball for lisa and I to play catch with, metallic push pins, a photo frame, an insane amount of candy, and a gun that fires off capsules of streamers and confetti, and that's just the beginning.

Basically, it's like opening a big christmas stocking filled with fun and entertaining things you would probably never buy yourself.

Speaking on Lisa's behalf because I'm still in Manhattan, I would say that in a package buddy, she's looking for a similair sort of arrangement. And she's REALLY excited about it, plus we shop together, so expect good taste to abound. I'm telling you, YOU should be Lisa's package buddy.

Speaking of packages, I'm really tempted to leave right now and go back to Topeka, put together your surprise, and mail it before the end of the day.

I would be thrilled to be Lisa's package buddy. It would also give my trips to Walgreens more purpose. Just e-mail me her address and tell her some sort of mutual deadline (perhaps we'll mail the first box in the first week of the month? i.e., around next weekend?) and then you can give her my info too. This sounds fun.
