fuck you, queers and associates.

So the mthafckers e-mailed me about an hour after I accepted the gig to say they booked someone else. Gddamnit. Okay, I get it, lesson learned, don't sleep. Get my ass up and try again and call sooner, don't spend so much time wondering if it's the right thing when my gut and my 2 best friends all say the same thing. Gddamnit. But I also can't help but feel a bit peeved that she didn't warn me that they were asking other people -- I probably would have gotten back even sooner if I'd known there was competition. Again, lesson learned. I should always act as if there's competition, because there probably is. If I don't step up, someone else will. Oh well. I guess [livejournal.com profile] drood and [livejournal.com profile] greyandred are the true seers in this case.

Now I'm all mad and disappointed, which isn't a great way to start the day, particularly a day that involves working on a brief that must be e-mailed by noon, and then a 3 hour help desk shift in the afternoon. But ranting about it here makes me feel better, and in the end, I will have a lovely time on Saturday and have a relaxing weekend, and I can commit to spending those 4 hours on another aspect, like studying or making a mixtape to submit to radio stations or working on the damn webpage.

You could even rent a puppy!

I always feel inclined to use free internet access whenever available. Even if I'm at the library, have come from home for books, have no reason to chat as none of my friends are awake, and could easily do what chatting I desire at home.

But I'm checking out the book that Cass is reading, just because I see no reason not to. Oh, and she told me to.

By the way, you look really hot today. Score.
