Read a book, you illiterate sonofabitch.
May. 3rd, 2002 04:50 pmToday I put in extra hours in my Fast Delivery courier service. Sparky was an excellent companion on the first adventure, which involved sneaking onto loading docks and scary automatic prison door. Oh, and busting through fire doors without setting off the alarm. After our Perfect Dark adventure, we did some browsing at the Toys R Us going out of business sale. Then I headed up to the United ticket office. I actually fell asleep in the waiting room -- I was dreaming and everything. But my number finally got pulled, I picked up the ticket and headed home. But then what occurs as I walk through the door? A legal letter marked "URGENT" needing to be delivered several blocks away. So I again bounded off to the Chicago Public Schools building where I had to go through a security scanning device that did not require me taking the metal out of my pockets. Hmm. What's the point of having checkpoints for show?
So I've returned, had a meeting with a co-worker, and now it's nearly 5 pm and I'm physicially exhausted. I may fall asleep during the movie tonight. I'm not sure if that movie will be Spiderman or something else entirely.
And this concludes this edition of Friday afternoon post. I apologize for it's lack of material, but I was remarkably busy today, and my brain and cleverness is temporarily tapped out.
