I've been uber-productive this morning. I was determined to get some backlog done this morning before the boss came in (who usually gets in about 45 minutes after me), but added to my plucky motivation was the Executive Director (who was visiting from the New York office) sitting 3 feet behind me for over an hour. I was initially aggravated because he was having a loud conversation with my co-worker right next to me while I was trying to work and answer phones, etc. and I couldn't exactly tell him to shut his piehole. But then I just relaxed and enjoyed the eavesdropping opportunity, and very thoroughly completed all of my tasks at a rapid rate. Now I'm tired. I'm giving myself to shirk some because I'm 100% on phone duty while my co-worker is out to lunch. Then hopefully I'll be all workful again in the afternoon.

Last night I got to meet [livejournal.com profile] softheartedgrrl, and though I'm sorry it was under slightly bizarre circumstances, and despite her kicking my assiter at Virtua Fighter. It's not like it's my game or anything. I hope she made it back to Ohio okay. I also gave [livejournal.com profile] nineinchlovely some Tony Hawk lessons, with the help of [livejournal.com profile] glitterdyke. The blood coming from Bucky's head wouldn't have been as funny without you, Vanessa.

Also last night, I went all Taxi Driver and cut off all of my hair. I was very very very close to leaving a mohawk for a day or two, but then I sorta fcked it up, so I just kept going. For some reason the lack of hair makes me look all thick and broad. I decided to wear a turtleneck sweater to add to the bizarre effects. And I'm also trying not to visualize Justin Timberlake every time I see my head and goatee in the mirror. No offense, [livejournal.com profile] wearemany. I like to look gay, but I don't like to look THAT gay. Also on the positive side is how nice it feels when I rub my hand through my hair. Though I guess now I'm more running my hand OVER my hair. I'm guessing my hair's sorta close to the length of [livejournal.com profile] fish's head now. Though a bit longer on the top than the sides and back. My ideal hairlength is about two weeks growth on top of what I have now. And I want to be more disciplined about keeping it cut, but 1) I'm lazy and 2) there's something satisfying about having lots of hair chopped off.

I get to run an errand on my lunch break, which means I can stray further than usual from the 3 block radius and not worry about time constraints.
