No livejournal for you.
Jan. 15th, 2002 08:30 amLast night I dreamt it was xmas day and I was working at Walgreens. Just for the day. I somehow got hooked up to work there for the day and get paid double because they were in need of workers. It was damn busy, and for some reason I remember the excessive clanging and clanking of shopping carts. I also opened the store, even though I had no idea how to work the cash registers. But since I've done retail before (And shopped at walgreens numerous times) I managed to figure something out. Finally the other co-workers showed up, and it was reminiscent of my summer working in the quality assurance "lab" of Lanier Worldwide where I ran copiers all day with other folks from a temp agency who were getting paid more money than I was, even though I was an "employee of Lanier". That summer was the last thing I did to intentionally try and make my father happy.
Anyway, I'm taking a personal day and staying home today. A well-needed mental health day, methinks. So no long-winded LJ posts for me, since the laptop is soon leaving and going to law school. For those who I know in the real world, if you're bored at work and want to give me a call, I'll try and entertain you some. My exciting plans for the day include laundry, reading, and perhaps some mild ice-ing of my back (which is doing much better, but still not perfect).
And it's snowing.
