I might crack a smile, but ain't a damn thing funny.

Apparently my hemoglobin is up, so my monthly shots have been cut in half. Whatever. I mean, obviously I care, but there seem to be no tangible results of these elevated levels so I hope there will also be no tangible results of these half-doses. My body's always fcking up in weird way during November to January.

Tonight I have therapy, then laundry, then finishing my novel. I hope. Oh, and packing. Tomorrow we drive over the river and throw the snow to MelRo's family's house (not grandmother's) in Philly. We return on Sunday. I'm anticipating little internet access during this time, so happy early Thanksgiving and all that good stuff: wishing safe travels, good eating, limited family feuds, etc. etc.

Now maybe I'll go e-mail my parents to say the same things. And to also point out that they've ignored all my questions about holiday plans. Don't worry, I'm still taking the high road.

We're going to be going at it. That means talking, in case you didn't know.

Okay, I found out yesterday I have a ishtload of vacation time. Four weeks. And if I don't use it, I lose it. The thing is, I'm still earning it -- so even though I'm taking about six days off in the next month or two, I'm still earning five days back. So I decided I should take more time off, even if it's just three-day weekends once a month to help keep me sane. And, I think I'll actually go to True Spirit conference in February. I haven't been and I think it's time. Plus, maybe I can get a free consultation with Brownstein.

I e-mailed the entertainment coordinator to see if they need a DJ. Maybe I can get free registration for doing a set or two -- I'm not looking to be paid big bucks or anything.
