I decided to listen to holiday music on the train ride through the snow this morning. I dug out an old tape made for me by Kater many many moons ago, and I remember driving around Atlanta during winter break listening to it.
Last night I FINALLY saw the Buffy episode where her mom dies. I've seen nearly every other episode that season, including the ones right before and right after, but never "The Body". I'm happy I thought to pop a tape in the VCR and record six hours of the Buffy marathon on FX, which also gave me a copy of the episode "Hush" (where the evil wheelie type demons come to town and steal all of their voices). These two episodes are such an interesting contrast: the former using absolutely no music and the latter using nothing but score to communicate not only the dialogue but also the sound effects. {/buffy talk}
In Other NewsTM, I think I injured my wrist this month with all of my excessive typing. I'm in dire need of a wristpad for my mousing but it probably won't arrive for another week or so. In the meantime I've switched to using my left hand. I used to only mouse left-handed. I think because I started using a computer with a mouse around the same time I was learning guitar and I also used to type somewhat one-handed, so it just worked better. But then I went to college and started conforming to all the computers in labs and work and such and I became and right-handed mouser. Making the switch isn't impossible, but it does feel uncomfortable and strange. Like wearing your watch on the opposite wrist.
