Last night I made a birthday mix CD for Educating Esme and also put together (in my head) something for [livejournal.com profile] freakysparks's day of celebration as well. But then I dreamt that I talked to Damon on the phone and he was getting her the same thing. I'm pretty sure it was a dream, but I should probably double check just to make sure.

What we REALLY talked about on the phone last night was his interview with Redman and N.O.R.E. regarding the new Def Jam wrestling video game, for my man's first feature in The Source. I'm so impressed. My favorite line from Damon was "Yeah, I think Redman was high." You think? I'd be shocked if he wasn't. But it sounds like it went well, even though Red hung up on him after the interview (he was supposed to hold the line so he could talk to the label president). I wish he'd gotten a chance to tape it so I could here the whole thing, but I'm sure there will be plenty more opportunities in the future.

Yesterday afternoon I railed about someone who was mad that they weren't mentioned at a Day of Remembrance vigil since she was assaulted this past year. Mthafcker, be GLAD your name wasn't mentioned because that means you are ALIVE. I didn't say all this to the person herself -- just to my co-workers.

How much do I fucking love Cheez-It crackers? I'll tell you: a whole lot.

Just for the record, I did have some coffee this morning. (But not as much as yesterday.) I think I might be getting a cold too, so I'm all off-kilter and acting a little wacky.

I'm feeling too perky and positive and lazy to do a whole "Hot, Not, So Five Minutes Ago" list, so I'm just going to toss out some recent delights of mine. The following list if called "Of Choice", as in "______ of choice". And it's just for this week, of course.

I can't believe Hotmail just sent me an e-mail newsletter with tips on how to avoid spam. When I registered my account, I opened my e-mail and already had five pieces of junkmail.

The ironing is delicious.

Let's try and post this only once, okay Livejournal?

You recommended I read The Hours after finishing Mrs. Dalloway. I told you I already checked it out, then went back to reading. I kicked myself later for turning down a conversation with a guy who's actually read Virginia Woolf. Meet me at the library downtown?

So here's a miniature family tree of livejournal friends. I have
some strange unofficial groups that are inteconnected.

[livejournal.com profile] clockwatcher was an early person to friend me, and she
helped bring me into the my second family of DCers and honorary DCers, which includes [livejournal.com profile] geekgrrrl47, [livejournal.com profile] ridleymae, [livejournal.com profile] gotmce99, [livejournal.com profile] jesseboi, [livejournal.com profile] natureboy, [livejournal.com profile] brucebanner, and others who don't appear on LJ anymore. I think I also found [livejournal.com profile] nabnag and [livejournal.com profile] legalmoose this way? Oh, and later came [livejournal.com profile] watrfae

[livejournal.com profile] justaboi aka my boyfriend has brought me to [livejournal.com profile] cuedus (who brought me [livejournal.com profile] cloudsdescendin), [livejournal.com profile] danielray (who I believe brought me [livejournal.com profile] zenchump?), [livejournal.com profile] geechee, though I'm not sure who brought me Wyatt. Maybe [livejournal.com profile] supergoat? (Who found me after I went off on someone else's journal about mocking prisoners, and she brought along [livejournal.com profile] maybelater and [livejournal.com profile] whirledpeas, I believe.)

Some people I knew in-person first: [livejournal.com profile] limenal, [livejournal.com profile] freakysparks, [livejournal.com profile] wearemany, [livejournal.com profile] stuey.

[livejournal.com profile] limenal stumbled upon [livejournal.com profile] cruelnails purely by
accident -- I think using the random function -- and decided he was sort of a Bizarro world version of me. I added him, and he brought me to [livejournal.com profile] katemosey.

[livejournal.com profile] ftmichael had me on his friends list for only a minute. I possibly mean that literally. Through him I came across [livejournal.com profile] uncensoredqueer, who is this strange bridge to many other users. Let me break it down.

1. First he hooked me up with [livejournal.com profile] nineinchlovely who was moving to Chicago, which lead me to [livejournal.com profile] glitterdyke and later [livejournal.com profile] fish (who also has connections to [livejournal.com profile] supergoat) who brought [livejournal.com profile] girlfiction and [livejournal.com profile] friffboy.

2. He brought me to [livejournal.com profile] kisha, who brought me to [livejournal.com profile] grocerygetter who brought me [livejournal.com profile] esquemeauxpi and [livejournal.com profile] djblax and [livejournal.com profile] nuala76 and [livejournal.com profile] noisyspoon and [livejournal.com profile] electrotype

3. Through Alex, I found [livejournal.com profile] the_passives, and Andrew brought me [livejournal.com profile] vfc and [livejournal.com profile] myloveisrobotic (who brought me [livejournal.com profile] shomithemess).

I'm sure there are more I'm forgetting, but now I'm late to a meeting.
