I somehow managed to lose $450. I mean, it's not really lost in the dictionary definition of the word, it's just lost to me. I supposed about 200 bucks went towards the party on Saturday, and I'll be reimbursed for half of that, but still. Um, so much for Christmas presents. I hope MelRo will enjoy her golden macaroni necklace under the tree. Wait, we don't have a tree.
Luckily I'll get paid before Vegas so I won't be reduced to eating ramen on New Year's Eve and licking up the champagne that people spill on the floor. But, I was hoping to get tattooed in San Fran, and this might put a damper on things.
To my credit (no pun intended), much of the money went to paying bills on time and paying bills from last cycle I was late on. So even though I have no handy liquid assets, at least my credit card balances aren't overlimit nor will I be getting angry phone calls or letters in red envelopes. And I suppose I can use said credit cards as funds, but that sort of defeats the purpose of making payments, right?
My brain hurts.
Since I spent so much on liquor for the party and I have so much leftover, I shouldn't do things like go out to bars to have drinks, like I did last night. I was planning on only having a beer, especially since the drinks were less expensive than the food. But then right as I was about to make a shot on the pool table the sweet and cute waitress (who was a cross between Monica Lewinsky and (a brunette) Anna Nicole Smith, in the absolute best way possible though I didn't tell her this since those may not be auspicious comparisons to all) came up to me and said "would you like another Bass?" and I was a little drunk from the first on an empty stomach along with half a dozen cigarettes, so I said, "sure, but first tell me what shot to make." I blew the shot but she brought the beer anyway.
I had a great time at the bar last night, even though the number of ftm's was a remarkably low percentage of composition of the group, considering, you know, it was an ftm social group. But the people there were cool for chatting it up and making jokes about our pitiful pool skills and we provided a charming backdrop to the jazz singer and pianist. I look forward to next month, as well as one-on-one outings with two individuals I've seen around in the community for years but never really interacted with them.
