The trees will bend, the cities wash away
Apr. 12th, 2005 02:35 pmThe day started off okay. Yes, it was grey and rainy. But I had some louging time in bed alone. I even made a "rainy day" music mix. When I took Sophie out in the morning, I noticed lots of little green things sprouting in various places of the yard which made me excited. I came in and discovered bacon in the fridge! So I made coffee and started breakfast and I was dancing to John Lee Hooker and then DYA came home and we ate breakfast while watching the movie What the Bleep Do You Know? (yeah, I know I just saw it, but I was folding laundry and doing other stuff before, so I wanted to see it again with my attention more focused, as well as discuss with her our thoughts and reactions). After that I was doing some reading, but each page became harder and harder. I took a brief nap. Didn't help, didn't totally make it worse. So sluggish. Forced myself to at least throw the sheets in the washing machine.
Ah, lethargy. I need to leave the house to perk myself up, but I don't want to leave the house because of weather and inertia and I resent any activity that will force me to do so, like teaching tonight. It doesn't help that teaching group has become tedious and taxing, with the majority of the kids not really interested. I'm trying to drum up some inspiration for myself, perhaps it shall be infectious. I'm also trying to drum up a lesson plan.
Yeah, I really need to just leave the house and brave the cold and rain. I think it will solve 90% of this.
