1. There is something completely amazing about someone over the age of 18 posting (in total earnest) the lyrics to "Wind Beneath My Wings" in their journal in honor of Valentine's Day.
2. I'm a little obsessed with suit coats right now.
3. Today I received rejection number two of my short story. Three more to hear from, at least for this round. (The story has been rejected three other times before this recent round of submissions.) There's still time. There's still plenty of journals to find the right place to publish it.
There's still a sting.
4. DYA were starting to get a little weary of the House formula on the 4th disc, but then guess what? Along came the evil corporate takeover character played by Chi McBride! And annoying pretty Aussie boy becomes spineless and backstabbing! And Cameron tells House she "likes" him! Drama! Which is all fine and good, but where the fck is Sela Ward? That's really all I'm waiting for.
5. We got more chard in the produce box -- my new favorite vegetable. It's like spinach that stays firm and doesn't get wilty.
6. In Ella Fitzgerald's version of "Cry Me a River", she sings my name. It's around minute 2:40, the second time singing: "Remeber? Ray, remember all that you said? Told me love was too plebien, told me you were through with me and now......" Seriously, it's unnerving. It's not what she's supposed to be singing, I think it's "I remember all that you said", but I swear, I've listened to it dozens of times and nearly everytime I get caught off guard cause it sounds like she's singing directly to me.
7. Aimee Mann has a song named "Ray" too but that doesn't freak me out as much because I know it's coming.
