This is one of those weeks where I'm working a lot (copy deadline plus my office job is busy) and that certainly cuts some into journalling time, but mostly my problem is I feel like I'm lacking interesting topics because my brain is filled with legal language related to contracts. My typing skills seem to have doubled, which, it's probably more likely they've increased by 10-15%. Last night I caught myself typing an entire paragraph while staring at the paper and never once glancing at the keyboard or the screen. I know that's the official way to type anyway, but I never took an official course, I've learned through necessity and practice and typing tutorial game on the home computer. Not Mavis, but an older one that involved a typing 'race' where the faster and more error-free you typed, the faster your little stick person ran and jumped hurdles to with the race.

Earlier this week there was a box of leftover Krispey Kreme doughnuts in the breakroom when I got to work, but there were no originals left so I've been salivating for a hot original glazed doughnut for days. Maybe that will be on the to-do list for this weekend.

Time to take my st. john's wort and fish oil and put on clothes and face the world.

Earlier this week I was in a store having a sale on calenders and decided to purchase a page-a-day calender for myself even though I don't think I've ever kept up with those things ever. Except for one year when it was a quote a day/trivia calendar -- it gave the quote and three possible authors, with the answer on the back. That managed to maintain my interest and commitment. This time, I got a science trivia calendar and I brought it to work, where I will probably be more likely to notice it. Yesterday's entry was about lima beans. And that raw lima beans have high concentrations of cyanide that can sicken (and in rare cases kill) people who consume them. But when you cook them, the cyanide "floats away on clouds of steam". I'm trying to construct a CSI epsiode involving death by cyanide steam inhalation.
