And a grand time was had by all.
Jun. 27th, 2002 10:11 amDespite the restaurant of my choosing going out of business, I had a fun birthday evening. The restaurant was not spectacular, but I liked the atmosphere and was more concerned with having a table for 10 people. Having beer was a bonus. Plus, I got some wonderful booty for presents -- not the sexual kind, but the pirate kind. Like from the treasure chests buried in Escape from Monkey Island. And "warning, that's lava" in Tony Hawk 3.
Right now I'm just feeling completely exahusted and mildly concerned about the dog and her current temperment. I think she's under-active and in need of more discipline and training, and both of the situations are easily fixed I just need to get my ass out of bed earlier and off the couch more often. Damn the dog for getting me in shape. I'm sorry to say it's not even guilt that causing me to be more engaging -- I'm more tired of cleaning up poop and sweeping up shreds of whatever beloved household product she got a hold of and chewed up. I guess I figure either way I have to be doing something, so I might as well take on preventative activities and be a better parent.
And I still have this cough and some congestion. Maybe I'm not taking very good care of myself since I can't completely shake this illness. But first, lunch today with Educating Esme, and a trip to Radio Shack so I can watch DVDs uninterrupted by the intermittent blue screen.
