Even though I was wicked tired this morning, I still enjoyed acting like last night was Friday. Sushi was fantabulous, especially force-feeding it to Mr. Riley and watching Sparky try unagi for the first time. I'm so glad I was part of the conversion experience.

Sophie slept in the center and middle of the bed last night. And I think it's harder to move her body than MelRo's, and she weighs 100 pounds less. Sometimes I just positioned my legs on top of her, hoping she would move eventually, which didn't always happen. She seemed somewhat confused by the absence of MelRo -- she kept looking at me like it wasn't time for sleepings yet because everyone wasn't home. When I first climbed into bed, she laid by the door, watching expectantly. After turning off the light, she determined that it wasn't happening and reluctantly climbed up next to me.



So the photographer for Chicago Free Press is super-cute and I felt we might have been eyeing each other some during Market Days on Saturday. I feel even more secure that I have chance once Riley and Vanessa pointed out that our group photo made it into the paper. I can't find it online, though I might e-mail him to see if he can send a jpeg, which might be a good opening for a coffee date. But anyway, folks in Chicago can pick up the Free Press and find it -- it's a black&white shot, we're at the bottom of page 18, and it's me holding Sophie with MelRo and Damon in the pic.
