Feel free to leave additional comments if you need to qualify an answer, but don't skip one. If you don't want to answer one question, I'd prefer if you skipped the entire poll.

Date: 2002-08-21 11:58 am (UTC)But I can't honestly ever think of a time I've used it or thought it as an ephithet. My parents never used it and I never heard it in my (mostly black) schools growing up. It wasn't until I read or saw To Kill a Mockingbird for the first time that I'd ever heard it, and then I had to have it defined to me.
