It's Friday afternoon and I'm not in a sharp enough mindset to post a coherent narrative. Instead I will create my own survey type device to answer all sorts of random questions and share trivia and facts about myself. Feel free to save this in case I ever become famous enough for my own category in bar trivia.

1. I drink my coffee with a fair amout of half-and-half or other milk-type product but no sweeteners, artificial or otherwise. Often adding sugar will make me nauseous, unless perhaps it's the occasional overly sweet flavored cream product. In simple terms, "cream, no sugar. like Scully."
2. I was born in Maryland but I've never lived there. The closest hospital from our home was across the state line.
3. I've never been to Canada.
4. Before coming out as trans, my identity crisis was in the form of hair. I shaved it off and bleached it twice, and dyed it blue once, though mostly black, all within the span of 6 months.
5. I was a bedwetter as a kid, and honestly can't remember when I actually stopped. Though it wasn't before the age of 9 or 10.
6. I hung up pictures of Christian Slater in my room for longer than I probably should have.
7. I never really liked New Kids on the Block. I still don't. I suppose I can like them "ironically", but my heart just isn't in it. That doesn't mean I'm not familiar with their songs -- I just don't get into it on any level.
8. I started wearing glasses while in the 5th grade. I started wearing contacts in the 9th grade and didn't return to glasses until almost exactly 3 years ago when I had badly scuffed corneas which scared me away from lenses.
9. I occasionally enjoy drinking alone and then socializing with people who aren't drinking and don't know that I'm drunk.
10. I started smoking more regularly at Girlbar because I was most often the designated driver of the group. During this time I was also walking home late at night from Shana's alone and I'd smoke so that I had a weapon with my lit cigarette. The most I've ever smoked is 4-5 day and I didn't sustain it for more than a week or so. Now I smoke 4-5 a month on average, unless I'm particularly stressed or enjoying the zen aspects of the activity. I don't anticipate ever completely quitting, but that's probably because I could do so very easily. When I'm away from MelRo (or she's away from me), I smoke like a smoker because I can.
11. I dated my best friend early on in high school for a few months, but we never actually made out until well after we broke up.
12. The first time I ever drove in a car alone was on my way to the tennis courts to play with my best friend Wing See. I listened to Barbra Streisand's "The Broadway Album" in the tape deck of the maroon Buick LeSabre.
13. I can't remember birthday dates to save my life, but I've gotten better at remembering astrological signs, which helps narrow it down. I also have a problem where my brain doesn't store a clear image of a person face until after the second or third time I meet a person. I can spend an hour talking to someone at a party and the next day not be able to close my eyes and see their face clearly. I'd generally recognize them if I actually saw them in person.
14. I often have delayed hearing -- my ears will take in everything said, but my brain takes a few seconds to process it. It often looks like I'm thinking about what the person said, but usually I'm just replaying the tape my brain made, and then proceeding to answer impulsively.
15. I was quite the hardcore Christian theologian as a teenager. I still had liberal politics, but I could dissect the bible like nobody's business. Many tearful conversations, late night insomnia, and existential crises occured during this time.
