Set It Off

I will deliver a cookie to you in person (time and date to be determined) if you can tell me the title and artist of the song that plays during Cleo's police standoff scene in the movie Set It Off. (It's not on the soundtrack.) Right now I can't even think of enough words to do a google search.

i said i'd do it in person, and i will! i'll even try to deliver in the next 6 months. of course, i might hold out longer since i'm still waiting on a mixtape from you..... ;)

but yes, in person. as promised.

alright mister

"Up Against the Wind" sung by Lori Perry.

i would like a sugar-free butterscotch cookie. or snickerdoodle.
you can take as long as you need to deliver really. though of course, i would be very happy to see you in the next six months.
thanks for the good luck wishes too. if i start making 30G (which is what the new job would par), you'll be seeing me real soon.

and it's not like i didn't try to get you a tape
the damn machine just malfunctioned and you got sent a blank tape

anyway, i also found part of the lyrics (i thought there was more anyway) on a random website:

Day after day
Seems like I push against the clouds
They just keep blocking out the sun
It seems since I was born
I've waken every blessed morning
Down on my luck and up against the wind

Don't you stop
Don't you run
Don't you cry

You'll do fine
You'll be good
You'll get by

Night after night
Seems like I rage against the moon
But it don't ever light the dark
I cuss the fouling rain
But it won't stop for my complaining
Down on my luck and up against the wind

Don't you stop
Don't you run
Don't you cry

Down on my luck and up against the wind

bless you, mr. wyatt. this makes me very happy!

i have made snickerdoodles in a very long time. must it be completely sugar-free, or just refined sugar-free (i.e. could i use fructose?)

when i get my campaign together and get a sampler CD made, maybe I can send some out to Minneapolis clubs and groups as well and get my way up there paid (at least partially). so i'll be hitting you up again for information -- for leads on possible DJ gigs in the area.

xo,
raybear

honey, really, i was just being silly.
if you came with cookie in hand, i really wouldn't care what kind of cookie it was.

good luck with your sampler cd.

and i'll remember to start name dropping when i'm around my event organizer-type friends.

of course in a crucial time my vast knowledge of random trivia fails me.
